Mauro Icardi spoke to Inter TV after their win against AC Milan in the Milan Derby at San Siro this evening. Icardi scored the only goal of the game on the 90th minutes, enough to give Inter precious 3 points at the San Siro.
The Argentine striker and Inter captain is a fan favorite and probably the best striker Inter ever had since the era of Adriano and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. As usual he never fail to step up in big occasion and give Inter much needed win, especially in the Milan Derby.
Spoke to Inter TV, Mauro Icardi admitted he lost his voice due to excitement when he managed to score the winning goal in the dying minutes, painting the whole city of Milan in black & blue.
Milan is black & blue
Mauro Icardi winning goal against AC Milan is his 5 consecutive goals scored against Milan in the derby. The first ever Inter player to ever done that. He stated that Inter should killed the game early, had few decent chances & deserved the win.
He also responded to the fan that even asked him to marry them. He simply reply, “I can’t! I already married”. Those people probably won’t care about his status anyway as he’s answering the question with a charming smile.
🗣 GOOOOOAAAAALLLL FOR INTERRRRRR!!! IT'S NUMBER 9 MAURO… ICARDI!

Focusing on Barcelona
While he being asked about Inter upcoming game against Barcelona, Mauro Icardi replied; “We want to go home and celebrate, tomorrow we come back & focus on Barcelona”.
It’s safe to say that the former La Masia graduate is quite familiar with how things work over there. The key to rattle the city is his, it is up to him to unlock it.
Barcelona will be a real test for Icardi to increase his reputation as one of the best attacker. Tottenham & PSV are already on the list, now it’s time for him to conquer Catalunya.
The Argentine scored a total of 6 goals in all competition so far, netting 4 goals in Serie A and 2 goals in the Champions League. He scored his first ever Champions League goal for Inter in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspurs. He is the first Inter player to score in each of his first 2 Champions League matches after Adriano done it previously on 2004-2005 season.
Icardi was Serie A joint top scorer last season, scoring 29 goals alongside Lazio’s Ciro Immobile. With european football back on the card for the Nrazzurri, this is Icardi chance to make it in the top level once and for all.
